‘ello Dahlings!

Here’s the deal with this new blog spot. We (the band and I) have an epic couple of months ahead. We’re recording a new full length album, and going a mini tour in the winter! With that being said, we have a lot to document. And, as most of you already know, I am a compulsive archivist….

Jason (our very sexy drummer man) approached me with a brilliant idea, which just happened to be a dream of mine. Some of you may not know this but Jason happens to work in the film industry, and is a huge documentary film buff. I too am a sucker for a good documentary. So, he offered his talent, and brilliance and approached me about filming a ‘rockumentary’. “HUZZAH!” I thought to myself. I used to plan, in the large scheme of things, to do a documentary. And, that sort of fell on the back burner because I wanted to focus on the whole concept of writing a rock musical with “I Am a Camera.” We did film some stuff, but used it mostly for blogs, and such. But, this documentary is in full swing. We have started filming, as well as recording for the new album, aptly titled; “Delusions of Grandeur.”

We are going to be filming throughout the recording of the album, and while on tour. The film will focus on what it’s like for a band with no money, when they record an album and go on tour. The struggles, the crazy moments, behind the scenes, candid, and raw. We’re all really excited. And, I think, this documentary will eventually be available on DVD, possibly with the album. We’ll keep you updated as that develops.

But, I’m getting off track. The point of this blog. Right.

While we don’t want to give too much away before the album or doc. comes out,
we want to keep you updated on what’s going on, our progress, our problems, sneak peeks, etc. We’ll be doing a series of vblogs on here, plus photos, sound clips, and possible free downloads. So, please bookmark out page, and keep coming back.

You can always sign up for the Jessica Allyn mailing list, and you will always be kept up to date on the happenings!
