Update: 10/2/09

Well, it looks like I’ll be having surgery tomorrow AM.
I had an MRI last night, and more blood tests.
Turns out the cyst is almost over 3inches big.
It may not me ON my ovary, but next to it
which risks the possibility of twisting, and destroying all of my
reproductive organs, and go gangrene. And then they would need to remove everything!
So, I opted for surgery ASAP, obviously.
They are planning to do it laparoscopically. And do a biopsy of the cyst, to make sure it wasn’t cancerous. – If they go in and the damage is worse they will have to cut into my bikini line. As of the now the cyst is sitting behind my uterus and (not be gross) lay on my rectum. Which explains A LOT without going into detail.
As of now they don’t think I will require a hysterectomy and will still be able to conceive if they have to remove my ovary.
I’m obviously terrified, this is my first stay in the hospital, and my first surgery.
But I know I will feel better, and be alright.
I hope to be out of the hospital by Monday or Tuesday.

With all that being said – the medical bills are going to be astronomical.
I have no insurance, and my parent cannot afford to pay all $200,000+
that this hospital stay and surgery is going to cost. I want to help, but am unemployed
and now will be unable to work for quite sometime.
